In the pictures of this, he used cork on either side of the silicone sheet. What's the purpose of the cork/is it necessary? The silicone sheet is about the right thickness as compared to the rubber diapragm. I'm afraid adding the cork may create problems??

i just used a little blue liquid gasket.  I think D used the cork to protect the  the silicone sheet from the sharp edge of the housing.

What kind of regulator is it?  When I had one fail I just bought a kit from Luke, and a complete new one to keep as a spare.  The kit was cheap and fixed my old one right up.  Of course, I have maybe a newer bus that yours or something, maybe there are no kits for your regulators.

This air pressure regulator is on my scenicruiser. It is on the auxillary air circuit inline before the wipers. I think, I am going to put it on by itself. I am only hesitant because it was a pain to get off to begin with!

I have the feeling this regulator and other valve were assembled together on the bench, and installed in the chassis as a unit. I had three air lines loose from the regulator before realizing it was all tied in with this other valve. Definitely don't want to do this twice!
