To all the fathers out there I wish all of you a very happy day. I hope you get to spend it with family, and friends and doing something you like. even if it is setting back and consuming mass quantities of adult beverages.

And Thanks to all for a great board

Don

I echo the sentiment!  I spent an hour with my dad today.  He is rather ill, with a dementia disease and some serious physical issues.  He had a nap, I watched some golf on TV, we shared a few thoughts and a cookie and juice when it came on the trolley.

I told my oldest on her 19Th birthday thatshe should call me when she wanted to get together with me.  No acrimony or anything discordant....just "call me".  She broke our brunch date.  That was 28 years ago and I still haven't heard from her.  Truly, I wouldn't trade all the memories and satisfactions I have from those 14 years of being "Daddy"for all the tea in Chine.  MY greatest experience was raising those two girls.  That is over now for me.  Thank you for your warm wishes and I recip them to you.

I had a good day, no daughters around but I know I was in their thoughts, both are in med school, I'm an orphan with both parents gone now, same for libby but we enjoyed a nice quiet day with some friends over for a visit.  All round nice quiet day.

I spent the day indoors to stay out of the heat, whew, it's hot here!

I called my Dad, at 87 he's doing pretty good. I'll get to celebrate when I visit them this coming weekend in between Busn' USA. He even said he wanted to go see all the rigs, as he calls them. Maybe he and Mom will stop by for a few minutes.

I heard from my kids today, which is always nice. They all live so far away, a phone call is about as good as it gets. Was good to hear from them

Happy Fathers Day Dad's!
