I found a kinda cool thing a few days ago, I picked up a couple of tanks from a guy that paints stripes on the road, they are a really heavy duty plastic and encased in a metal cage, mounted on a pallet, they got a fill hole with a screw on cap on the top thats about a foot accross and a valve on the bottom front with a 2 inch outlet and a shutoff.  The hold 275 gallons each, I got 2 of them, cost me 25 bucks each, no idea what I'm going to do with them yet but I liked them and figured I'd find something for them to do out in skanee, they held a water based paint and it cleaned up nicely.  He only had 2 of them for now but he said he would have more later in the summer.  They are about 4 ft square and about 4ft tall.  Also went and looked at a Ford 600 tractor with a loader on it and a 3 point with live PTO, but they wanted 2900 for it and that was a bit out of reach, things a moveing slow but still moving along.

It sounds like the totes used in the farming and chemical industry. My son drive truck delivering farm chemicals for Carso out of Camargo,IL. What you described is exactly what he delivers.

Probably the same thing, these were used to hold a water based paint, they cleaned out nicely, I'm thinking about running a downspout into one of them with an overflow tube and putting a reducer on the 2 inch outfeed to hook up a pump to water the garden and stuff rather than use well water for that, I pretty much bought them both and then sat down to figure out a way to use them lol, but I figured at 25 bucks each it wasn't too much of a gamble, I also bought 2 heavy duty 55 gallon drums to use as burning barrels, now I've got to shoot a few holes in the sides for air vents on them, those cost 3 bucks each, the cost of fun is sure going up around here.

LOL Cody I really get a kick out of you sometimes. when most would be cutting holes in the drums, you are pulling out the heavy artillery and blowing them out. Kaboooom, Kaboooom.

God you've got to love it. Cody are you sure you're not running some secret military operation up there in MI?

When the closest house behind the place is 40 miles away and the neighbors arn't close enough to see or hear, it tends to give you the freedom to pee off the back porch if you want.  Thats why I say if your dog barks, it's ok, if your dog bites me, just wash his mouth out and he should be ok, if the generator is a contractors model, it's ok, if the beer tastes better from the bottle, it's ok lol.  The anti-KOA is exactly that, a place where you can lie about your fuel mileage and nobody cares, we know anyway lol.  This will be the place that it doesn't matter if your the rich guy with the prevo or the poor guy with the prevo, what matters is who you are inside and yep I do sometimes set up some tin cans or a barrel and roll them around a little, lol.

Had the first incident of uninvited activity at the anti-KOA, was a shock and I guess I'm supposed to feel violated? but I'm kinda not feeling that way, I don't know who was out there but the burning barrel was used and somebody had parked in the yard near the 30 amp outlet, a small mess I had raked up was cleaned up and bagged to be hauled away and the sauna door that normally has no lock on it had an eye hook installed and was secured.  Aparently they had been there at least a day or two, everything was just fine, guess we've got a decent class of burgular running around up here lol.  Now I know the idea may work lol, just wondering who I owe for the cost of the eye hooks lol.

Not me. It is not warm enough up there yet. Maybe we can visit about July or August.

People find this area somewhat strange or trusting I guess, last year I took crazytom to see a car lot where the cars all had the keys in them, it's been that way there as long as I can remember, lots of hunting camps are so isolated that many times snowmobilers that get lost or break down use them to warm up and have a can of soup and nobody minds, I guess it's a step back in time.  We hadn't been out there for a few days and went out to haul some stuff I had picked up for the place, wish they had still been there so they could have been reassured that it was ok, was thinking maybe it might have been somebody from here but I know if it had been, somebody would have said something.  We're expecting snow this weekend but it has been really nice, 50's and 60's for the last couple of weeks.

I downloaded google eath and tryed to see if I could post the skanee house but the picture is so blurry I can't make out anything on it, any tips? Maybe my etch-a-schetch isn't powerful enough to see it. I don't have some of the litttl symbols or at least don't know how to get to them but the numbers on the bottom of the thing are 46-51'54.74"N, 88-07'.06.5"W, not sure if that helps at all.

That's a good as it gets. You don't warrant the ultra high res photos by the spy satellites. You should uncover your nuke for a few minutes. That'll get you more attention.  ::)

Maybe they're figuring it's abandoned and they are setting up squatters rights  :D

I suspect they don't expect much for the eye hooks. The electricity was probably sufficient.

Maybe you should post a small sign on the sauna door that says something to the effect of, "Welcome to the Anti-KOA. Feel free to enjoy your stay with our blessing, but please treat it as if it were
your own and leave it as, or better than you found it."
