Now that to tune up is done. We are planing a trip to South Dakota Late June. I am looking for suggestions of places to stay or stay away from. Things to see to keep everyone busy. My problem is there will be 8 of us two girls ages 5 and 14 and two boys age 7, My daughter and son in-law my wife and myself but my toad is a Jeep Wrangler. As not to shuttle everywhere we need bus friendly places to go. I don't mind breaking camp to see things and driving the bus to the attraction if needed

                                                                                   Thanks for the help

The Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha is a good day for sure.     http://www.omahazoo.com/    I've been there several times and it is definately worth it.

If you'll be close to DeSmet, South Dakota, go see the Laura Ingalls Wilder place. Nice tour and interesting...Bill

We really enjoyed the Badlands. When we were there, you could hike just about anywhere. But you will be there in the summer, and that is going to be warm 8).

God bless,

We always enjoy Custer State Park.  If you do kayaking there are several really nice lakes.  If you want to see bison this is the place!  Take the wildlife loop and you'll see many, many bison, prong-horned sheep, burros and more!

Also, if you haven't seen Mount Rushmore that is worthwhile.  The Black Hills area of South Dakota is a must see.

I agree with John that the Badlands is another stop worth seeing.

Enjoy!
