Facebook email From Me.. DO NOT OPEN It is a Virus

I have no idea how this happened but an email From Facebook using my page was sent to many people today. DO NOT OPEN, It is a virus! I have not been to my Facebook page for days, so I have no idea how this happened.
Since I have had some minor problems in the past with Facebook concerning viruses, worms, trojans, etc. and to prevent future episodes like this I have de-activated my Facebook page. Jack

Marilyn went through this about a month ago Jack. In her case she figured out that the message went out to a mailing list that she had set up for her hotmail account. In her case it also re-occured every week on the same day at the same time. She didn't use that account any more so she deleted it but in hindsight she might have been as far ahead to simply delete the mailing list.

And on a related matter, her niece made a big deal on Facebook about how she and her new husband were going away for a long weekend. When they returned their garage had been broken into and her new Tiburon was gone. It could have been a coincidence, in fact it probably was but on the other hand ..........

I had the same thing happen to me today. Fortunately I had downloaded Spyware Doctor when this happened last week. It came through Facebook from Jack Hart, yeah right!

It sucks because you have to spend so much time getting rid of it, and it's not easy. I read a lot of ways to do it and decided to spend the bucks and it removed the virus easily. I use Microsoft Security Essentials and it didn't see it because it disguises itself as a virus removal tool.

I got yours yesterday and opened it. Wanted me to download a copy of Adobe, then the alarm came on. I hope none of it got in my computer, but I will know soon if it did.

I was skipping along quite happily when a girl I know sent an email asking if I really thought she has a cute butt? I ask WHAT...then it became clear that I had been spammed! Still trying to clear it up.

I got one that said "Nude pictures from Dallas". My wife's best friend in named Dallas and she's a hottie. Then again it could be some guy in a floppy hat stark naked standing by a bus....... I didn't take the chance.
