At the barest min make sure  you are getting FULL voltage ACROSS the bulb element.  ADD ground lines to the existing if there is any hint that  you are droping volts across the ground run.  Power the bulbs with a relay that has a new and heavy gauge + feed so you loose no voltage across switches etc.  Sylvania Silver Star bulbs are pretty good as stock stuff goes. Get some E spec non sealed beams in there and install some good halogen bulbs fo the fix.

Do you drive over 60 at night?  Install some aux driving lights.  Drive in rain, snow or fog....get some "good" YELLOW fogs....not those white fogs.

You are almost there, Pilgrim.

I have a 91 XL. When I bought it the company that had done the paint job stripped the bus without protecting any of the light lenses from the stripper, so the lenses were all scarred as well as all the clearance lights. I ordered new 97 Ford F-150 replacements from JC Whitney to the tune of $150 each with halogen H-4 bulbs. While they were okay, they certainly didn't light things up well. I overdrove the lights at 55-60mph at night.
I have a parts guy at OReilleys who sold me some replacement kits with relays. Boy they were great but after putting the info on this and the other board and getting all kinds of negative response due to all kinds of concerns, I took them off, returned them and have nothing now. I then contacted Daniel Stern lighting for something. He has some direct replacements that are coming out of Argentina at about $270 for both. He says they are legal, don't bother oncoming and will be real improvements. I don't know because I don't have them yet, will have to see. BTW, I have been waiting for 3 months so far, only good thing, he didn't want any money until they get to him before shipping to me. Hope they are good.

What year of Prevost do you have? I have an 85 and if you are going from two on a side to one like I want do do it is a a big job.I had a coach builder tell me its a 2-3 day job.I priced the light kit from Prevost and the parts were over a grand.

SkyKing,

You are going to love the lights. I promise. Don't get frustrated with the shipping time. I went through several gyrations since Stern had to source my lights from Argentina also. He has no control over their customs and shipping.

Mine put much more usable light on the road than the stock lights and I NEVER have been flashed.

I don't have great night vision anymore, but there is plenty of light to cruise at 65.
