Zero, If it ain't broke don't fix it.  As you have read in other posts, don't idle a diesel engine. A generator very seldom idles. Watch yor "blow-by" tube and when oil consumption goes up, overhaul or replace.  I work primarily on tractors, and have many that are 20 years in operation with no problems. As to overhaul, most times it is as cheap to replace with new. A new engine from Kubota engines america(KEA) comes with new injector pump and injectors, and other new accessories.
