Front skin  under the windshields has been replaced with smooth stainless?

Front looks narrower than behind door. Looks like 102A3 to me. It was the only 102 with 98 front

hey dallas- I toyed around in photoshop and it seems the front cap isn't level or flush with the rest of the rig....you can see it above the door a bit also the door doesn't appear to be sealing properly..it's almost as though the nose is falling off this bus LOL!

The lines on that coach look ok to me. The detail work looks a little ratty.

It does look like a fresh skin on the nose.

The 102 ABCD were all narrower at the windshield than at the first pillar back of the door and driver.

That is a stock wheelchair washroom down the back. "Star Trek" air powered sliding doors into it.

Toilet is on the driver's side. Amongst the first manufacturer offerings for accessible coaches, rarely ordered, quickly discarded, as they had fewer seats to accommodate the full width washroom.

Busted Knuckle

Looks to me to be like BW says! 1993 DL3 was the first yr produced and had a choice of Stainless or smoothie! Count the 4 luggage bay doors!   

Also as BW said handi capped bath & lift made it less than desirable for most owners due to less seating! (If I wanted a 47 passenger bus, I'd bought a 40'er mentality!

The fuel tank and battery box are moved on the DL..

If this coach is straight and not full of rust, that's a decent price for a 45' DL..

I emailed the seller, but where is the wheelchair door/opening in the coach body?

The wheelchair lift is in the last picture, taken by the camera on its side, so turn your head, it sets against the wall on the curb side of the bus, inside the full width room at the back of the coach. The access door is right behind the lift, where the stock washroom would be on a non-accessible coach.

MCI tried to support the spirit of the accessibility requirements with some well thought out options, in this coach, and in the earlier 102 AW3, with the elevator style wheelchair lift in one of the curb side baggage bays.

Unfortunately, the marketplace, supply and demand for these expensive options, have driven the accessible options to the bare minimums of today's wheelchair lift out the open side, just ahead of the stock washroom, slide a couple of seats forward ro make space, God help you if you if you need the washroom...

When I need an accessible coach, the 102 AW3 will be my choice.

Okay thanks. I've seen a couple of 102AW3s on MCI's used bus sales sites lately...$14-18K I think, so I assume that if MCI has them that they recently came out of service.

Okay BW, thanks...I got it now. So the entire width of the rear of the bus is restroom? Did that affect anything in the engine compartment (radiators, etc)?

Nope, behind the back wall, same as the rest of those coaches.

The whole restroom/lift area has the same back wall that all the other coaches had, the loss in in the seating removed to accommodate it all.

I can't remember what was different about the dump tank/plumbing. There had to be a way to get it over to the traditional curb side back corner to dump at traditional facilities. Whether the tank was high on the street side, or piped over from the toilet to the curb side, who remembers?

He posted a link on the sale add to his photo bucket or whatever, so there are a lot more pictures linked to the add. Any idea how many of these type door opening type buses MCI did? This type of opening would work real well for my application. Too bad this is in Georgia...long way from CA
