Jim, you will find very little rust they were built with Cor-Ten steel (bridge steel) they have good features like pantograph doors, hub pilot wheels,SS siding, hyd fan, large brakes and a higher drivers area, only draw backs are no color coded wiring (all white) and your pretty much stuck with a 6v92 for a engine with out spending big bucks for a engine compartment remodel they are a good bus

thanks luvrbus, it has a rebuilt 6v92 from jefferson bus and rebuiltallison with retarterwith less than 10,000miles with paper work at the same time new radiator, rebuilt alternater, new batteries, and all new11-24 tires.i can live the 6v-92 because it is new and runs great. the only thing i dont like is those black bumbers.it is still seated has electric and heated mirrors dont like the front cap either.but i am buying it for 7300.00.good deal ,i think. thanks for your reply jim

just check and shop around and find some corners and blade off a model 05 or a 10,a model 15 front blade will work also but not the back blade.
They are a nice bus but I don't care for the ugly a** caps or bumpers but some like the bumpers does it still have the factory AC in the rear cap.

Check in the spare tire compartment for a little rust.  I replaced my front bumper with plywood wraped with stainless.  It looks pretty good but not like an Eagle.  I have located my generator in the space where the AC was in the back cap. It is not real easy to get to but saves one of the bays.

If the rebuild history is correct, it is a good buy.  Repacing the radiator core cost me around $1,000. with me doing a lot of the leg work and removal and install.  Also, you can get the DDEC turned up to give you 70+ Mph.

Good Luck.

A documented rebuild is a rarity, good find on that one, normally it's just a claim and they don't have the paperwork, again, good find and a good price to boot.  I have a 6v92 and I find it has plenty of power for my iggle, course my foot isn't very heavy and I don't have any stock in oil companies.  If I felt like road racing I have a 1991 subaru that I can go out and play with. lol

I don't plan on raising the roof.  I had the Eagle factory in Brownsville to make me a new cap, but I haven't put it on yet.  I don't like the bay doors because they don't fit good and leak.  I'm planning to make cafe doors when I get time.  Also, when I made my one piece door, International Bus Parts was able to match my skin after I sent them a sample.

The wiring is not color coded, but does have numbers.  I have a picture of the print for the wiring on the NJT 20 to share if I can find the file.  art at anser-quik dot com

Silver Eagle has moved to middle Tennessee so they are more convenient to get to now. They should be ready to start selling parts again soon.

Art, I loved my pantograph doors. Whenever you make your cafe doors, list your pantograph doors for sale on Eagles International if you want too. I know several people have talked about wanting them.
