I have eight spare MC9 windows in very good condition.  Can someone tell me what they are worth if I list them on the Bus BBS, Craigslist or ebay?

I had an opportunity to remove several items from a scrap MC-9 to replace the parts on the motorhome bus I purchased.    I overpaid for the parts (long story) and would like to recoup some of my costs.

Gary -

I could use windows to replace some that have gone 'foggy.' Will they fit my MC-5? If you don't know, I could PM the measurements.

Thanks,

They're worth whatever someone who needs them is willing to pay for shipping.  Period.

Mine sat out behind the garage for several years. I was willing to give them away. Nobody wanted them. Those that did need one or two found them
closer and avoided the shipping charges. I finally dismantled them. Haven't recycled the frames yet, but soon. Planning to use the plastic windows for
other projects. Maybe will make my air plenum for my basement air out of them so I can see when the filter is getting dirty.

My suggestion is to offer them up to anyone that needs them and don't try to make a buck off them. It probably won't work. And, if you give one or
two away to someone who really needs it, he might do you a favor in return, or maybe ever pass the favor on to some other busnut in need.

I ended up just giving them to my brother in law, I tried ebay and local paper but no takers. At least I don't have to look at them any more. Jason

Gary,

They are not worth very much, maybe $11.00 each. I'll take 6.

I will PM you were to ship.

Thanks

John

PS Do you have any more scrap parts from the MCI?

Nellie, MC9 windows won't fit your MC5.

Put a request in the classifieds, both here and BNO, that you are interested in take-outs, identify the specific window positions you need fog-free.

Folks are removing windows and skinning over all the time.

Thanks for the info. and the suggestion. Been thinking of putting a 'windows wanted' in the classifieds, but wasn't sure how precise I'd have to be. Would you know if I'm limited to MC-5C takeouts, or would any '5' series work? Or any others, for that matter?

Thanks again,

Nellie

IIRC, the MC-7/8's windows may fit, but I'm not sure.  Your bus does use MC-8 windshields, btw, as well as the same front door and driver's window glass.

You'd need to get out the measuring tape and provide "h x w" numbers for people to work with, along with what BW suggested for the side sash glass & frames.

Nellie,

Don't forget you can call MCI parts 800-323-1238 and ask them if the parts are interchangeable.   I did that with the Entrance door trim I am looking for.  Turns out, the MC7, 8, 9, 12 all use the same door trim.

According to MCI's National Parts Department, yes they are interchangeble, but you should call you local MCI dealer to confirm.
