Gee thanks Jack.  We were so disappointed that we weren't able to go and the pictures make us feel that way even more.  ;D

Great photos Jack!
Only wish I had taken more myself. But there were too many buses and people to get to them all!

And well those of you who didn't make it, well you can see what you missed!

Jack,
Great job on the photo's, I have been replaced.  I surely enjoyed seeing what we have seen in the past all over again in these photos, and all those that have been submitted by other photographers on the bb'd's.  Thanks to all.  I see two pictures of Pete's bus??  Is that fair??  Only kidding Pete, doing these photos is a lot of work no matter who does it and trying to get photo's of everyone's bus even a harder job to do without offending anyone.  Glad you all had a wonderful time at Jack & Paula's party. Look forward to seeing you guys next year though.

Nice pictures!  All the busses are so bright, shiny and intimidating.  I'm gonna have to get crackin to get into shape for pictures.

Of course it's fair Gary! After all Pete was kind enough to offer me his couch/coach as a house guest since I was in a seated coach. So one picture represents Pete, and one represents his house guest! ;D

The Spaceliner in photos 26 & 26 is very cool. I've never seen one with stainless siding before; I've never liked buses with corrugated iron nailed on the side, but I could probably live with this bus as it is (and the Scenic next to it come to that). I love the fancy mirrors as well, even though they look like a serious hazard to pedestrians!

I understand all the 'difficult to get parts' concerns, but if I lived in the States a bus like this would be a much more attractive choice than 'just another' Eagle or MCI. Of course, the reverse is true here - in the UK an Eagle (especially one with corrugated iron) would be stand out a mile from the usual kind of buses you see here - although perhaps less so as Neoplan and Van Hool for instance are just two of dozens of different makes we have here, so 'bus recognition' amongst the general public is probably pretty low. I don't know what half of them are myself sometimes.

A shameless plug for my business - visit www.magazineexchange.co.uk for back issue magazines - thousands of titles covering cars, motorbikes, aircraft, railways, boats, modelling etc. You'll find lots of interest, although not much covering American buses sadly.

I just added some more photos that our granddaughter took at the rally.  These include some photos of the "string attack/fight" on New Years Eve as well as the midnight "ball drop".  Jack
