This information was just posted on another board I go to and I thought it might help someone here to know it.

Just got a call from the company that manages the RV Park at Fishing Bridge in Yellowstone and was informed that the park's electrical system had deteriorated to the point it must be replaced. There will be no electrical service at Fishing Bridge in 2010. They are offering to cancel any reservation that was made prior to that determination. They are going to allow generator usage from 8am to 8pm daily. Water and sewer service will continue. As tight as the park is, I think it could be quite noisy and fume filled if 400 rigs are running their generators all at the same time. It may cause the private parks near Yellowstone to fill quicker than usual. See everyone on the road.

Running the generators will definitely make it less peaceful than when we stayed there in 1995. We went to Yellowstone again this summer but could not get into any of the campgrounds in the park >:(. We stayed at Lionshead Resort in West Yellowstone for three days. We were lucky to get in at the last minute. It was nice but not as convenient as being in the park. I think you are right about the private parks filling up quicker. I think I would endure the generators though, just to be in the park. We spent most of our time away from the campground anyway. Yellowstone is one of my favorite destinations.
