So, I'll bite, does anyone know anything about the Prevost Astral Buses?  Good?  Problems?  Inquiring minds, you know.  Christy Hicks

Well, there have been thoughts in the direction of a specific bus listed, but it's been unavailable for us to be able to see it in person, and doesn't look like we'll have that chance until Monday at the earliest, if then, and so far, no one has been able to provide us with more than the detail posted, so it's an iffy proposition for us at this time.

I tried to do research and came up with basically the same information as Bob provided, nothing more.  There seem to be no Beaver Conversions on the market, and absolutely no information as to amenities, standard components, reliability, etc.  In fact, there is next to no information on the Astral other than the wiring and brack switch recalls.  Really hard to make informed "pre-decisions" when you can't get ANY info, ha ha.

Bob, would you mind PM'ing me with information on yours?  I really would appreciate it!  Christy Hicks

I'm sorry, I just don't know what that is. . . I know, I'm not very bright, but I've googled every version I can think of for "inter bus ca" and nothing seems to come up for me.  Guess I'm being a big PITA, sorry.  Christy

Thanks guys!  I had gotten to one page from that site, but the French scared me off, ha ha.

I WAS curious about leakage in the long term. . . but this is actually a completed conversion, so I'm not worried about covering the non-used ones myself.

I have mixed feelings about buying a completed coach as compared to doing one to my own layouts, but I am being fair and doing the research on this one, understanding that Larry does have a good point on the fact that a factory conversion does retain it's value better than even the best home-made units, and that I do have less time than the long list of projects I've got lined up will require.  (I assured him that I had so many things to finish before I die that I was going to live to at LEAST 125 or more.  Maybe THAT'S what he's REALLY worried about????? ???)  I also hate to impact our savings so hugely in a "down" economy, but then again, I have to admit that honestly, the price seems to be more than fair.  Shoot. .   I thought I was keeping these arguments rolling around in my head, not on paper, ha ha.

ANY info ANYONE has would be GREATLY appreciated.  Thx, Christy Hicks
