My MC-5 still has beams and bags intact. It holds about 60 pounds for three weeks then the left side starts to droop. There is a check valve that can start to let air leak out on these systems.

I have replaced one air bag so far myself and its an ugly job but not technically challenging. If you've ever seen a weather checked tire blow, you can imagine what a weather checked bag would do. And they've never been in the sunshine. So if yours are checked I would definitely replace them. If you loose one on the road you're guaranteed a tow job and a few days wait to get the bag. They are not standard truck issue. I actually carry one front and one rear spare bag and a set of rings and bolts. If you're brave and the bus isn't too greasy, you can torch the bolts off. That speeds up the process.

Brian, If you decide to change bags use a wrench first. Mine all unbolted no problem.  Tom y

I just sprayed mine a time or two for two days with pb blaster before i was ready to take them off and had no problems. Don't have a torch or grinder and wouldn't really want to have flames or sparks in that area anyway.
