It is a good idea to carry spair air bags. They can be damaged many ways going down the high ways. When you get your new bag it would be a good idea to put the top and bottom rings on before you store them in your coach. It is harder to put the rings on than it is to change the bags out. The front bags are very hard as the ring is smaller than the back bags. Fred North Florida Bus Conversion

Thank's Fred for the tip on the airbags. That is one of the things on my to-do list. I was looking on the website that  you are on and saw what I think is my mci5a bus on it. You were showing how you built a roll-around scaffold. You were standing on the scaffold doing something to the top of my bus. I bought the bus from Mr. Corbett  Church Clarkesville Ga. The bus is light blue with dark blue stripes and purple trim.I was just curious if this was the same bus.    Thank's    Glen Rice

Thanks for the tip, Fred. I've got rear spares, the ones you removed which were servicable, but I'm not sure I have a spare set of rings along with the block-off plates. The plates are on the top and bottom of each bag aren't they?

Our best to you and Caroline, and of course the rest of the family.

Hi Bob, The block off plates are only on the top. You will need the longer bolts to be able to install them , I believe i sold you 2 , They will do one side it is best to install them on both sides. Sounds like you are staying in Fla. as of now. Fred

Hi I have no idea if I worked on your coach. If it doesn't have a roof raise I didn't build it. In 25 years I have worked on a lot of coaches  Fred

Fred, I stand corrected... and thank you. We will be adding the block off plates this winter to the passenger side. Neither Jackie nor I can detect a difference in the ride but I know I have another relatively serious air leak because the compressor cycles every minute or so when we're on the road.

What can you expect from a 41 year old bus? We'll be back in NC this summer (unless Jackie decides to pull another one of her tricks..and have another stroke) and be happy as larks that we're riding in a good, dependable MCI Bus!

Please give our best to Caroline and the menagerie.
