Andy,

Thanks again!  I really like your step setup, this is something I have been thinking about for awhile.

I did my first mock up with the angle piece on the first 3 steps and did not like the feel of it, maybe it was just the rise height or the extra angles.  I am going to build one like yours in a mock up next week and give it a try.

One other question, what does the mount look like on the bottom of the co-pilots seat?

I really like the ability to remove it quickly and easily, also I am thinking about making one up (stealing your idea) after work today... ;)

John,

No pictures right now....I am at work

My co-pilot seat is mounted in the "normal" location near the door.

Andy,

Thanks again!

I do a lot of reverse engineering, so being able to see both sides is a bonus....

I had not seen a mount like that before and the abilitly to remove them for ingress and egress (quickly and easily) is a really nice feature.

Andy,

Great pictures, great design. Do you have any pictures of the seats together? Do you have enough room to walk in front of the copilot without them moving?

John

John here's the seats together and yes I can walk in front of Eileen , If the seat is all the back and most of the time it is. Hope this helps

Andy,

I really like your set up. May I ask for some measurements, i.e. The total width of the two seats, What this leaves between the seat and the door. The measurements of the steps.

Looks very nice indeed.

John

With the seats together armrest to armrest it's 49 inches, an 27 inches to the door. With the seats as far apart as possible  total width is 54 inches 21 to the door. steps are 9 inch rise and 9 inch tread. there are three steps top the first landing and two to the living room from the landing Hope this helps . I am not an expert on stresses.  Is that seat belt setup sufficiently strong?
