i have a power chair that has two 12 volt batteries any runs off of 24 volts dc.  I am wondering can I get away with disoconecting the batteries from the chair (They both have thier own harness that discontcets seperatly) and contecting them to the 12 power of the bus to charge them.

If I can do this I can keep it charged from the bus system and will not have to worry about taking the power chair out of the bus to charge it or run the genset either.

The charge profile for the batteries could be and is likely to be different than the bus system.  How about an inverter to run the normal charger that came with the chair.  If you don't have a build in inverter a small dedicated inverter just for the chair should work.  Not sure how picky your chair charger might be for needing pure sine wave.

Good luck

OK I did not think of a chaarge profile.  They are just smaller 12 dc deep cycle batteries.

I will have to look in to that thanks
