Hey Jack and Paula, i would take Runcutters route, its the only way to go. There is tooo much stress on 95!!! And the railroad museum is a MUST as is the auto/ Bus museum in hershey. Have a safe trip see you in Dec.
we love our buses!!! NE Pa or LI NY, or somewhere in between!

I have parked the coach right on the Mall in DC in the evening, and walked both ways, Capitol to Lincoln.

Kinda neat looking down the Mall from Lincoln's toes and seeing the coach parked on the cross street way down near the Capitol.

The Mall and it's monuments have a completely different character in the dark, that most tourists never get to see.

Safety?  There are folks about, single joggers of both genders, so no worries for a busnut.

happy coaching!

We came down I-81 last week, it was bad.  From where I-84 comes into I-81 there are miles of construction.  We lost about 5 hr with the detour's and one lane construction.

Well, we decided to take I-83, I-695, I-95, I-495 from York, PA to Richmond area.  No problems.  Moderate traffic and no delays.  However, I definately would not try this during rush hour.  Jack

Jack,

That is the exact route that we usually take. Usually it goes well, but there has been a time or two, when it gets slow. For example, like the time that we were the "first responders" to a injury (almost fatal, but she lived thanks to seatbelt, airbags, and guard rail) accident. That took some extra time, but usually it goes pretty well.

God bless,

John
