Hi Fellow busnuts!

We have a new feature, "Ignore User".  This let's you ignore threads from a selected user or users.  NOT that we EVER would have such a situation w/in our fine community. Ha ha!!  Ahem.  But - just in case, it is available.  In your profile, check the ignore user settings.  This affects only message threads.  So now, if my posts seem mysteriously ignored, I'm gonna get suspicious!!!   ;D  :D

You will also see an "Ignore User" button by each user's posts- you can "ignore"  from there as well!

Ha ha!  Well, I could say that because I am insecure I disabled that function for me  :D but actually, it does not work for the moderators.  And anyway, how could anyone possible think of ignoring the moderators!!  Ha ha -  ;D  :D  ;D

OK, better not go too far down THAT road!!

Hope this helps!

Phil, I think it is a great idea, the ignore button that is, but what actually happens if I click on the ignore button. Does a big message go to that person saying "you have been ignored" or what? ;D Just curious. I don't want to be rude and try it unless I have to.

HighTechRedneck

No messages are sent out.  You will still see that they made a post, and the subject line, but instead of the content of the post it will just say "User is currently ignored".

In this community, it is the moderating team's hope that it is the most unused feature of the forum.  But for those that find themselves in a personality conflict with another user to the extent that they don't enjoy the forum anymore, this provides a way to continue to enjoy it.  You can also elect to refuse their PM's in your profile settings.

That is a good question -

I don't believe a message is sent to the other person, however, I am not certain and we will test & post the result back to this thread.

Hope this helps, Phil

I hope a message isn't sent. I just clicked ignore on airbag (just to see what it would do), and saw the results. I quickly undid it ;D ;D ;D.

A very convenient feature...Thanks ;D.

God bless,

I'm sorry guys, what were you saying? lol with my memory I have one built in lol.  Next feature to work on is to be able to send pics or files to each other, then we'll see about voice enabling the chatroom, then video, who knows how many ways we can spend your money, expiring minds want to know.
