Hey guys, someone brought to my attention that I might have offended folks here...sorry, did not mean that in any way.

Clifford, it was NJT that mentioned SQHD...that's why I brought that up.

As I shared with the individual who brought the offense to my attention, I am looking more at the specifics here, wanting to know which things from the heavy duty truck industry (which I am involved in) will work or apply to buses (which I am not currently involved in) as I hope to become involved in buses at some future date.

I do appreciate the knowledge shared here, I believe that is what this forum is all about. There are some things that I know a lot about, but buses are not one of them...thanks for all you regulars who share your years with us. I too am glad to share the knowledge that I have learned in 20 plus years of trucking and trailer repair with any who ask.

Hopefully when I said 'all you smart guys', that was not a derogatory statement, rather an invitation to those who know what model rearend it actually is...is that clear? The thoughts go through my head but sometimes they don't get worded correctly.

I have an R-170, and an Eaton RS23-180 so it would be helpful to know if those are used in buses.

If anyone has an issue with my posts, please feel free to let me know!

Thanks, and I do appreciate the information here.

When I changed gearing in my 01 a 3:36 was the largest piece that would fit into the housing -per rockwell.
