We have wasps every year and it is my job to "take care " of them-a job I relish. Spray foam is the cats meow. A couple of years ago we had two big nests in our carport which is 14 feet high inside. One was the size of a basketball. As I climbed the ladder to get close to one a wasp stung me in the eyelid. Made me real mad. So I got a 20 foot long pipe and taped a can of spray foam on it. Then used hay bale twine to fashion a trigger. Stuck that nozzle right inside the nest and filled it with foam. Its no fun waiting until dark as you can't see them dropping out of the nest -DEAD!!
