I was doing a bit of work around the bus this afternoon and discovered two yellow jacket nests (furnace vent tubes, and the roof vent fixture over the refridgerator.   Earlier this year I battled a nest in one of the fantastic vent shrouds, and behind a trim piece by the front door.   I have also found nests at my kid's basketball backboard, and three on a landscaping trailer I have parked outside.  Two weeks ago I was staying at a beach house in Delaware and found a nest in the gas grill as I was about to light it.  All told, I have seen carpenter bees, yellow jackets, wasps, and more.  I was just thinking this afternoon: "Are there more bees this year, or is it just my imagination?"
If you're going to be dumb, you gotta be tough.

I use spray can Gunk, works fine and kills them instantly. My sheds are infested with both wasps and mud wasps.

The wasp sprays scare me, the insecticides in those things are deadly to humans also.

So far twice this summer i have had a wasp nest in one of my air horns,  same horn both times. ???   Brake Kleen takes care of them in about 2 seconds and leaves no residue to clean up except for the nest and bodies of course.
Used to own a 1968 MCI 5A and a 1977 5C.
