I am starting to feel like a real busnut now with my very own 14-50R plug at my house and a new toilet with two new roof units on the bus. Whooo Raa.

My poor bus sits outside all the time and I sure would like to put it under a roof. But everytime I price such a structure it takes my breath away. Any cost effective solutions out there? I would like to see what some others have done.

Here is a photo of one option. It is a simploe slip together and bolt framing members with metal skin. This is a friends 20 X 40 bus barn and I do not know the cost, but I am sure it is much less than than a conventional building and would hold up bnetter than the fabric/vinyl covered version.  Jack

Hi Rick,

My bus lived in a tent for 3 years..  15x16x42   It fit like a glove with plenty of room to work all the way around it.

Made by ShelterKing.com and about 2K delivered. It took 1 day to erect with two guy;s.

A cement floor under one of those vinyl tent/dome systems will do a good job.

Parking on the ground is heck in the rust department underneath.

And in many jurisdictions, the vinyl structures are not complicated by building codes or permits.

Those look like good options and might be a alternitive to standard construction. Jack do you know what brand that shelter is?

How are these structures secured to the ground? I would be worried about wind gusts blowing it all around.

Hi Michael,

The structure comes with 16 anchors that go in one way. They don't come out!! My tent survived 2 Noreasters here on the coast.

You can also secure it to a concrete pad.

Do a Google seach on Car Ports. Quite a few show up in many styles. I check on one for my bus. $5 to 6 thousand. Build it yourself or they have installers that travel the country installing them for you.
