Maybe CLR? Try a sample area first.

Back when I was still building my bus, the plumber left some steel screws in my new stainless sink, let them get wet, then left for the day.

When I got back to it later that night, I about crapped myself that my brand new sink was already tainted with rust stains!

The next day I was in the small town grocery where I shop, and saw a product called ZUD on the shelf that touts being able to remove rust stains from stainless steel.

Short story...I bought the ZUD, sprinkled some on the stain, rubbed a little and POW!...just like new!

Good luck.

Naval Jelly works pretty good.

A product called Bar Keepers Friend works real well. It comes in two forms, a dry powder or a liquid. The powdered form works well for vertical surfaces if you mix it with a little water to form a thin paste. The paste will stick to to most SS surfaces.

Here's an article about the different cleaners, how and why they work, and the ones best suited to each task.
