I have an 88 MCI 96A3.  The windshield started leaking on our way back from West Virginia last week.   I was getting some drips in the bus  (seemed to be coming from the screws holding the mirror used view the inside of the coach).   I think that there was water inside the destination sign.  When I washed the bus last Wednesday, I noticed that when spraying the top of the windshield that the water was running down the inside.

Question is, can I re-seal the top of the windshield and the top of the destination sign, or will the windshield need to be removed to fix the leaks.

Youth wrestling club purchased an old bus, so now the old Coach is just trying to keep the old coach running.

Stan,
We sealed a leak at the top of our windshield with Dow Betaseal U-400hv rapid cure auto glass urethane adhesive.  We get it from a local automotive glass installer. It comes in a caulking gun type tube and is applied using the included nozzle and a caulking gun.
Try to pinpoint the exact leak location. With someone inside the bus, spray water on the glass to rubber seal first, if no leak there, spray rubber to bus frame seal.  Since water runs down, start low and work your way up.  We found a small pinhole that had rusted through just above the rubber.  Jack

I have used Captain Tolley liquid caulk before.  It will creep in behind gaskets and seal.  It depends where the leak is though.

If it won't go FORCE it ---- if it breaks it needed to be replaced anyway

For a professional job mask a 3/16" band of the glass to seal and seal to coach. Sealant of your choice, smooth it with your finger and then un mask before it dries, it will look great. It's to late for my bus for I have silicone sculptures hanging from my windows from PO.
