This is the complete text of an email I received:

Your ad expired
Number: 31
Title: Coach manuals, wiring diagrams, maintenance, parts and operators manuals

If this is the maximum effort that is used to retain advertisers, it's no wonder the magazine is going downhill. I realize that the economy is in the black water tank but as the saying goes: "When the going gets tough, the tough get going."

Larry, you are correct that should not have happened.

That is a standard message from the online classifieds program.  As long as your classified ad is paid up in the magazine it should stay online as well.  It was my error that didn't get the expiration date of the ad updated.

I will see to it that the online ad is reactivated.

It's not the fact that the email was sent out - things happen.

A little more salesmanship in asking for a renewal might have been helpful.

I know - I shouldn't give you a hard time - you're a volunteer.

I agree on the email content as well and will be revising it.  It was a stock message that came with the program and it definitely needs rewriting.  I will take care of that as well.

As a forum moderator, I am a volunteer but my functions at BCM are not.  I am the one to talk to about BCM website issues such as this one.
