More than one toilet?

After a conversation about how nice it is to have three bathrooms in our house, the question popped in my mind about multiple toilets in the bus.  Most often it would just be the frau and me.  But we both seem to use the bathroom a lot.  When you factor in two more very young ladies ( the grand kids ) it could get to be irksome to only have one toilet.

How many if any of you have more than one toilet in your bus?  And if you have more than one, where are they located?

What really started me down this path was the comment about being able to retain the original bus toilet if you used a pony tank with a macerator to go to the main black tank.  And this additional tank could also be designated a #1 use tank only.

We were going to make a shelving unit across the back anyway.  So if we put an RV toilet in the space where the original lav was located we would give up some storage but have an additional facility.  This would cut down on the waiting in line time and make it quite handy in the middle of the night.

So what are your thoughts, opinions, ideas.......

A bath and a half is starting to become popular on the larger S&S motorhomes.  I personally wouldn't want to use up the space.

You still need to wash your hands after using the toilet, but you probably have a kitchen sink if the bathroom sink is occupied.

Frank, I wrassled with the toilet problem for a while, I finally decided that one toilet would suffice, seeing as how i'm not quite so full of poo lol.

Speaking as one of the few people here who actually have a two-holer bus (one for us and one for the cat) I think it would be silly to give up enough space to have two human crappers.  I'm not sure what your travel intentions are but whenever you are parked in a campground you usually have some alternatives if you need to go in a hurry.  Some folks even prefer using the campground loo although I have never bought into that notion. 

But its your bus, your plan - do it your way.  There just ain't no right and wrong.  (Except if you are talking about LEDs apparently)

the cleansing of dental orifices & bodily surfaces seems to be of more concern than the evacuation of fecal remnants in this concern. so maybe  two shower/ sink areas would suffice.

If you have teen girls the answer is a positive, yes. In other cases it would seem to be just another problem area.

Well, maybe yes, if you have two old people, one of which I am!!

The answer to hand washing is to have the wash basin completely separate from any toilet.

How about a portable unit?  I forget the right name, but  I'm not making a joke about putting in a porta-john.  Just put it in the storage area with a curtain.  Best of both worlds.  Won't take up space when you don't need it.  Use it for #1 only and just dump it into your permanent toilet.

In my new conversion, I'm going to modify the original washroom into a closet, making it narrow enough to fit beside the queen bed I'll be putting in.  I thought about leaving the original toilet and mounting a collapsible camp sink to the wall, and having a half-bath.  If I needed to use it, I could move the hanging clothes to the bed.  I've pretty much given up on the idea, figuring that it's too much work to cut the interior so that I can move the wall over.

you won't have room for a toilet and a bed, the bus just aint wide enough.
the bed alone you will be banging your knees.

Good question.  There have been several times that Dallas and I could have used a second toilet.  In our bus I don't think we could squeeze one in but on those few occasions we definitely did give it some thought.
