One of my favorite stories about black water tanks... read it all the way thru if you want a giggle...

Sure it's great!   I go every  year.  Just don't speed thru the towns on the way, or you will get a ticket!!!  :)

I spent some time trying to convince my better half.

There is a kids section but it seems  a little... well, loud? strange? liberal?

My kids are 7, 8 and 9... thoughts?

I would not take a nice bus to Burning Man.  The dust will get everywhere no matter how well you seal things up.  If there is a dust storm your bus will fare even worse.  RVs are permitted, but knida frowned upon.

I designed my bus to not have carpet or fabrics inside specifically because I go out to the Black Rock desert every year (Not for Burning Man) and the dust gets everywhere.  I even have mattress covers for the mattresses to try and keep them clean.

I have never been to Burning Man, but I have read a lot about it and have talked to a number of participants.  I would not take ckids there based on what I have read and heard.

I agree about the kids.  Burningman is mostly an adult party.  The dust? Yup I agree on that too.  Picture driving your pretty bus into a week-long storm that's blowing talcum powder instead of dirt, and make it mildly corrosive.  That's kinda what it's like.
That said, it's well worth it...  :)

Airbag

I watched a poor sod try to empty the honey bucket tank on a DC-10 airliner. This entales a truck with a large tank and a large hose that attaches to the belly. He hit the dump valve only to find out he had engaged the hose incorrectly and took a shower of many gallons of nasty blue water with other unmentionables mixed in with it. He was was so mad he was speaking in another language not of this earth.
