Grant, don't overlook the fact that heat pumps are way more efficient than fuel or electric heating IF the cost of electricity is competitive. It would be if connected to the grid, but might not be if you have to run a generator to use it.

Mini-splits solve the source and return air problems by directing a sufficient air flow to churn the room air until it is nearly equalized. They can deliver the air to near the ceiling or right down to the floor and they DO move a lot of air.
