I had the solid surface countertops in my kitchen refinished this spring just before I tried to sell my house.

The guy used a random orbit sander with various grits of sandpaper and for the final finish he used a few different grades of Scotchbite pads.  Now, this countertop was never a glossy finish.  I just wanted all the little scratches that develop over the years removed.

Total cost was I think $95.  A real bargain I thought.
