Good morning! The oad cable running to my circuit panel from the main disconnect, is best situated to come out of a weathproof elbow at the top of the disconnect box. And the shore cord works best to come out of the bottom so it forms a natural drip leg. My question is are there any reasons not to have the load cable coming into the lugs of the box, and the supply coming into the bottom of the breakers? Normally the supply would be coming in the top and going to the lugs, and the load would be wired to the breaker. This seemed easy to me when i started, but the more i thought about it,,, the more confusing it became. What say ye all?

Having run into more than one panel that was wired backwards I would personaly like to see supply and load wired properly.  Nothing like finding a fuse that is hot because the supply line is wired to the wrong side of the panel.  Flame away gentleman.  John

Yeah, i reached the same conclusion - might as well do it right. I do like the orientation of the two wires as they are, so i will just pull a bit extra into the box and snake them around to the proper end. At least then i won't waste any more time wondering and worrying about it.
