I look at my subscription to BCM as my part of keeping this BB alive. I feel I get more than my subscription $$ out of this BB. I am sure if there was no BCM, there would be no BB.  Jack

The problem being mostly expressed is that people are tired of old, recycled articles and technical errors.  I suggest that the solution is for MAK to personally solicit a few of the experts in specific fields on the board to submit articles in their area of expertise.  As compensation, offer them something of fair value, but no direct expense to MAK (i.e. free one page ad in the magazine if the writer has a business, free one or two year subscription if an individual.).  There are many true professionals in this forum that could write very accurate and interesting articles within their field of expertise.  With so many experts and so many potential topics, this could keep the magazine fresh for years.

Another thought, RV.net recently launched an expert blog, written by a few selected "experienced" members.  Perhaps a few of the experienced forum members here would be interested in submitting a short monthly column sharing their conversion experiences.

Improve, innovate, respond, change, lead ....

or die.

Same as any business.

The world of spreading info has already changed. This busnut market has been delayed, the same as other certain segments of the information exchanging world due to the demographic not being internet friendly.

But that delay is changing at a pace that is running over traditional ideas of how to provide a service, how to deal with mistakes and redefining how to do it profitably.

And if those mistakes, inaccurate information, missing subscriptions, are not dealt with in a more modern way..... the internet will do a fine job of communicating that at a rate unheard of before too...

Lots of folks on here willing to help. Perhaps the time has arrived when you need to ask?

happy coaching!

I've written a couple of articles for the mag. The first one seemed to write itself. The second was almost as easy. The third is still on my desk as it got exponentially harder for me to get it 'cleaned up' & ready for print.

Proof reading is tough & with so many anal retentive readers who are so quick to offer unsympathetic criticism . . . .
Constructive criticism is one thing, but to complain without any real suggestions . . . .

My suggestion is for people to simply write some articles & send 'em in. Do it to support this hobby & for the fame & glory of being published in a magazine, not for monetary compensation. But be ready to be criticized.  :o

Something else, it isn't gonna to be easy for the mag editors to decide who to print. Some articles will be fact based & of sound judgement & I'm sure others will be bad advice based on hearsay & bad habits.  ::)  :o

I happen to like the in depth articles that are heavy on engineering.

I'm also big on the pictures too.  ;D
