LED maker lights, Do I Need a "Load Led Protector"??

Our 68 Eagle 01 has had no markers in the center of the bus I could see, only front and rear with turn lights. Although they unfortunately are not factory lights, they look good at night.  There are also round reflectors at front and rear. Will change to LED's someday. If I had OEM lights I would leave them on.
