OK, I found the reason for the discrepancy in member counts.  In one location (main stats page) it counts all the unconfirmed members, and counts the moderators 2x depending on the # of groups they are in.  I need to delete a lot of unconfirmed members as we now have close to 50 dating back to December. 

The good news is we get to have another member # 1500 again.   :D  :D  :D

Now we can all practice what we will do if we go "incognito" and join as member # 1500.   ;D
