Towing/roadside service insurance

Well, I've done the topic search and read the posts, and still can't decide who to call.  I'm down to the wire (almost).  I'm going to look at a bus within the next week, and if I decide to bring it home, I might as well sign up for this insurance now, if I intend to do it later.  Anyone have an opinion,(dumb question on this board... LOL) regarding what's best for just roadside repair, tire change, and towing coverage?

I started off with Good Sam, and on my maiden vyage home, I had a fan betl break.  They did a great job.  I later switched beause of the MOUNTAIN of junk mail they send.  I now have the FMCA version, and have not had to use them (keeping fingers crossed).  They both come highly recommended.

While I also have towing on my State Farm policy, it is of the type where I have to call the tow company, and State farm will re imburse.  I like the FMCA (and Good Sam) much better as you call tehm and they send someone from the area that is qualified.  I lost my fanbelt in the middle of Texas at 11:00 pm thanksgiving eve.  I'd have never found anyone on my own, so its worth the $100 or so a year to pay for this service.

Ditto what Jim said.  we have our tow service thru AAA, Escapees (same as FMCA), state Farm, and have used them a couple times.  AAA seems to take longer and someone told me you have a limited number of calls per year.  make sure you get the RV endorsment which is extra $25 or so bucks onto our premium AAA plan.

State farm just includes towing same as a car, but they do know its a bus.  i pay less for the bus than i do for the ExpressVan for total insurance.  like $300 for the bus and $500 for the van.  go figure.

I have State Farm coverage on my other vehicles, and AAA membership.  The last time I used AAA, they were pretty useless.  The operator was halfway across the country and clueless.  I'm thinking I'll just cancel my membership and sign up for Good Sam or Coachnet.  Don't need all the whistles and bells, just towing, tire service, and roadside service.
