Angle box for fan on mci

Well I'm just trying to get ideas in case plan (a) doesn't pan out. I am installing a series 60 in a mci 8. Plan (a) is to have radiator in front of engine like it was in the truck. I'm satisified with that set up. Where I'm running into problems is the 50 dn generator, while still using truck fan etc. My question today is if I buy an angle box to drive the fan. I have seen some new units on surplus center but the horse power is max at 35. How much hp does it take to drive the fan. also the shaft diameter is around 1 1/4" what does the normal late model mci with the s-60 shaft dia & hp ??  Thanks Ray

Much simpler to just keep the original radiators above with the squirrel cage fan since the Series 60 takes alot less cooling then the 2 strokers.  Then put the air to air intercooler on the side with a hydraulically controlled fan.  Good Luck, TomC
