Dan McMurphy Update

    I received a nice letter from Dan, Heather, and Hannah McMurphy. Dan's healing is going well. He has been told he is in excellent health and the fitting of prosthetics can begin. He has started wearing "Shrinkers" to prepare his legs for the first step, "Stumbies and feet". After he learns balance and endurance he will be fitted for legs. He is hoping to get C-Legs, which have computerized knees. Total cost for the prosthetics from start to finish is $120,000.  Dan's total medical bills to date are approx. $150,000.
    He is woking on getting SSI and/or Medicaid. Heather is working on getting her green card so she will be able to work. Hannah enjoys climbing on Dad's lap for a ride in his "new chair". Dan has contacted Custom Mobility for vehicle hand controls but has held off for now because of the cost and the fact he is still having to take pain medication.
    They all are in good spirits and their faith is certainly a big part of them getting through this. They ask everyone to keep them in your prayers.

Thanks Jack! I have been struggling with trying to scan the letter and picture and post the information. The letter I received was typed in cursef and made it hard to read after scanning it!
