I'm posting this for a fellow busnut. He just purchased his GMC and is headed home but accelerator is stuck. He said it runs wide open as soon as he starts it up. I don't know much about GMC coached so I'm passing this info along for him. If any of you guys can help he is stranded he said about a thousand miles from home. His # is xxx-xxx-xxxx.

I believe on the other board he said 50 miles south of Martinsville - Yeoman I believe he was trying to see who was close by -FWIW

Sorry Jim I didn't intend for it to come over that way. My apologies to you. Thanks Niles for bringing that to my attention. It was a legetimate question.

That was Dutch in his new 4106. I just spoke with him and he is back on the road. The PO drove down and helped Dutch lube enough of the throttle cable to get it working again. He got a very good bus but it has been sitting for a while. It needed some basic service and I told him that. He said he was going to take care of it before he hit the road but it sounds like he just got in it and started back to Texas. He said that he would keep us updated on his adventure. Oh well, I wish him the best of luck.

dutch

???

Dutch,

I am glad you made it home. What kind of mpg did you get? Did it use much oil? You need to post your charging question in a new post. I think you would get a better response if you do. I am learning about the 4106 charging system myself so I am not the one who can help you with that.

Here is what I did for a tailpipe; I know your bus needs something like it:

You should do something similar to keep from stirring up a constant dust cloud that just finds its way into your air filters.

i think 12 miles to the gallon,
1350 miles  $250 dollars with an average of 2.55 a gallon
but i pampered it very badly ,,maybe even to much
i just hate putting alot of "pressure on the engine"

I come up with 13.78 mpg - WOW!!!! - If you mistreat it (like it really wants) who knows what mileage you'll get -
