You can take a Pro/Link and remove all the interlocks you choose and keep the ones you want.Those systems are easy once you figure out it has 2 parts ,the Detroit responsibilities and the OEM responsibility,lol I have blowned up schematics in laminates 2 ft x 2 ft for these old eyes to see

That sounds daunting.  I know that kind of work will be needed in the project, but I hope to avoid it where possible.
