2001 MCI 102 DL3 - Replacing Bi-fold Doors...

I'm having trouble locating a source for a sedan door for my bus, so I thought I'd ask ya'll. I've read that the sedan doors should, with the correct upper/lower hinges, just bolt in and replace the bifold doors, but I've not found any details online. Does anyone have any experience doing this on a 102 DL3? Worst case scenario, if I could locate a set of hinges, fabricating a door seems possible, but I'd like opinions on that route.

Different bus but the same idea. My body is curved at the front where the door was but  I made a frame and door to fit where the original bi-fold doors were. I used the GM siding and a drivers window cut down to fit. Works very well.

Very nice. We're you able to modify the bifold hinges or did you fabricate new hinges?

New frame and hinges. Complete door then made to fit the opening. The hinges were normal heavy duty hinges from Home Depot. It was done 30+ years ago so details are sketchy now.

Glenman replaced the door on his DL, so you might check with him to see what he has left over. I think he had a broken lower hinge but it may be repairable. The door itself was not noticeably damaged and would certainly be better than building one from scratch.

I think he hasn't replaced it yet, but he has two sedan doors unless he threw one away.
