There is unfortunately no such thing as an all inclusive rebuild kit, All depends on the engine and how it was Spec'd when built new. There are parts and a lot of them lol, our engine was a complete rebuild from scratch. Have not tallied the numbers yet but it is isafe to say it is in the Thousands & Thousands + some ;)

Stanadyne is GREAT stuff.

All brand name fuel additives will help.
Raising the Cetane value will help with starting, power and mileage. It's especially helpful in an EGR or DPF engine, It will help with a complete burn of the fuel charge which will reduce soot.

I run some additive in every tank of fuel in all my diesel engines. There's no need to dump in the whole bottle, Follow the recommendations on the label.

Stanadyne in the fuel tank would have no effect on the 6.0L stiction issue, That's on the oil side of the injector.

yeah, I've  had and worked on both 6.2 and 6.5. Had a 6.2 in 82 GMC 2wd, broke crank at just over 200,000 miles. Was really reliable, never even had heads off. Had good luck with my 6.5 but I've  got some hours into it for fixing.
