I have been lurking for quite a while. I have a 1981 Wanderlodge FC35, but it is less and less Wanderlodge all the time. I am in the middle of swapping in a Cummins ISM and a 13 speed roadranger, and I find this forum has a lot more applicable information than the WOG group for that kind of thing. I have picked Brian Deihl's brain a couple times along the way.

Thank you, and yes it is a front engine. You would think that would make the conversion easier but I have about 200 hours into it now and I figure at least 100 to 150 left. But I did it because I could, rather than because I needed to so whatever.

Doing it because you can is WAAAAY better than doing it because you need to.  The "do it because I want to" projects are way more fun than the "do it because I have to" projects.  Keep on keepin on!  Looking forward to reviews and pictures on the final product.

Are you going to turn around the main box to make it a triple overdrive 13spd?

Well Tom, I thought 90 at 1950 for those late to work mornings would be plenty with the usual layout. I did consider a 3.55 rear gear so I could run in direct for better mpg but I could not find one for the old axle. But that would have got me 119 at 1950 in second over. As it is I will be happy with 70 at 1524.

Right now I run 74 mph at 1400 rpm in 6th

Drop to 5th for 68 mph at 1500 rpm

So glad I don't have a ht740 :)
