Oil questions - Not engine oil

1. With my 8v92ta, do I have to add oil to the compressor?  If not, where does it get the oil from?  If so, how do I add the oil?

2. On the back of my engine is a small reservoir tank, it looks to be 2-3 quarts.  It is mounted just above the compressor but does not seem to be connected to the compressor.  It has a filler tube extending to the front of the engine (just inside the doors).  What goes into this reservoir?

The compressor on a 8v92 uses the same oil as the engine and circulates under pressure, the reservoir is probably for power steering,since most engine reservoirs hold a couple of gallons

Thanks.  There is a spot on my reservoir that looks like some type of plug, but it probably is a very dirty window, I will check it out.
