Does anyone have a diagram of the Turbo Inlet Plumbing on a 6v92TA?  I have a MCI and I can't find a diagram in my manual.  I was thinking about rerouting it and removing the inlet above the radiator.

The routing of the intake air is really not that important-in that as long as you keep the intake hose size the same (I think 6") with pre made 90 degree elbows, you can remake it yourself, to your design. Good Luck, TomC

A few years ago, I rerouted my intake to take fresh air from up high near the roof. I was sucking too much dust on dirt roads with it lower near the radiator. I ran a 8" hose up through the bedroom closet. The only thing I would do better, is go straight up through the roof with the intake on top of the roof.

I use an Eco air filter AH8503FLG.

I also removed the muffler and replaced it with a resonator, for the least restriction possible. Louder, but flows good.

What resonator did you use?  Routing the intake up is a good idea.  Where did you put the filter?

Don't remember the resonator's model number, but it is a Donaldson, 5" in and out.

The air filter is on the driver's side of the engine. You put it wherever you have room.

If you can afford a slight bit longer unit you can use a Shuttleworth D13-0123. It is basically a straight through muffler with a small expansion chamber in the center of the muffler. The barrel is 9" in diameter and 23" long. It takes a bit of the "bark" out of the exhaust noise ... if you are getting to the age of silence is a better thing. Sorry I don't have a cross reference at home.
