Anybody know why it would make a buzzing noise when I twist it some?

When I first fire it up it buzzea when not it 100% heat position.

What is lighting up in the instrument panel?

Something shorting on something, back of that switch panel is a root ball of live, old wires...

It's the heat  indicator light.
