Some people can be paranoid about dealing with craiglist. I had a neighbor that wanted to sell an older car and I suggested cl. The wife was concerned some stranger might show up and murder them. You can control how you are contacted by buyer and make arrangements how to handle transaction. It is also probably dependent on where you live. You don't have to deal with negative feedback or cancelled or reversed payments from Paypal. Do some research about vendor gripes. Overall, they both are handy. I've heard about records of business transactions can require irs reporting by vendors. Don't know particulars so just info. Overall, they both have their good and bad points.

Anyone who would not use PayPal (as a buyer) for unacquainted sales regardless of platform...is taking an unnecessary risk.
If I don't know them, pay-pal or no sale.

Don -

I edited all of the listings with more key words last nite, noticed that there was a significant increase in views/watches this afternoon.

I use CL or FB's Marketplace only for local sales, eBay for the much larger market, using PayPal.

For CL or Marketplace, we meet six blocks away in our local police dept's parking lot, GF takes photos of the buyer's car & license plate while buyer and I complete the cash transaction.  Funny to watch buyer's reactions. . .  :o

I purposely began the Operator's Manuals at $25 on purpose - I'm not going to give them away.  If you don't think the MC-8 manual's worth at least $25, well, that's your prerogative.
