Just curious what people do with their buses to prepare?

Anyone use their bus as a backup source or power / water / sanitation?

If you are in the path hope everything is ok...

If I had to evacuate I would load up water (holding and bottled), fuel, dump holding, stock up on food, bring important papers, extra clothes, medical supplies and head for some high ground away from any rivers or dam areas. Don't forget wine for the wife, beer and bourbon for me.

Same here though I'd leave the wife behind as well.

Must be ok there. Folks in Anahuac are gearing up boats and headed to Houston/Galveston to do water rescues...5 feet of water inside the SH tollway in NE FT.Bend county.

I spend half the year in Texas every year. UsuAlly we winter down there. We were in Houston this past winter and have a lot of close friends down there. It's an utter mess. During hurricane season if we are down south, I monitor the weather daily. If I hear an inkling of a tropical depression, my ears perk, and if it becomes a named tropical storm and there's any chance of landfall near me, I'm evacuating in my bus. I rode out hurricane Irene in my old bus and that was the first and last time I'll ever do that.

We were right in that path of Harvey, an hour east of Austin! We have leaks on the ceiling that we didnt even know we had before the torrents of rain. Weve have driving sideways rain for a few days, probably 15" of rain, but the bus is high and dry. We chose high ground to park on, and thus safe for now.

Were surrounded by mud, and will be definitely be stuck until this dries. We have plenty of fuel and gas aboard.
