I have a 8v71 that dosent have the serial number in the location that it should be. The problem that i'm having is the plethora of water pumps for these engines, and people are telling me that I need the block number to make sure I get the correct one.
I know its a left hand rotation/standing leg. what else do i need to know to make sure I get the right pump? (this is a non turbo engine.) any help sourcing a pump would be greatly appreciated.

What make and model Coach do you have? I'm assuming it's a GM. If you want easy, Luke can get one to you easy. Also  which state, at least for your location would be helpful.

What is wrong with your pump if the housing is good a complete kit is just over 100 bucks and they are not that hard to rebuild, after markets kits are a lot less than a DD kit type in FP 23506366 new impeller, shaft, seals with all the goodies in the kit

That not a left hand engine in a Eagle that is a x Trailways the serial number will be above the oil pan behind the starter or have round tag lower right corner starter side

Doesn't matter if it is a right or left handed rotation engine. The camshafts that the water pump runs off turns the same direction with either engine. Good Luck, TomC
