if ambient is north of 90.

What temp do you want inside your coach?

4106= 280sq ft max, much of the interior volume is taken up by cabinets or furniture, say 30% so you are really looking at closer to 200 sq ft. If you have no insulation 3 might be needed, but even with modest insulation one should be plenty. In addition is ambient temps are in the 90's even 78 with a small fan feels like a million bucks. Guess I don't need 68 all the time.

REgardless ill be spending much of my time in the coach north of the 40th parallel, usually only see a handful of days per year above 90, Ill go for a swim then

I'm only going by what is mounted on rooftops. Rarely is there only one, usually two, and often three on 45' coaches.

why the 2? 12k should be more than enough to cool the whole bus into the upper 70's even when it is in the 90's and full sun. It isnt like you need the 60's, all you really need is a 10-15degree drop from outside temps to make it comfortable.
The small A/C in the bedroom is only for the bedroom, to quickly cool it down after a hot day  -  I don't plan on using it during the night.   Will 12K cool off the entire bus if it's really hot outside?   No, of course not.   That's why it has wheels and an engine . . .

Most RV units are of older design and rather inefficient compared to modern units.
