Ok, I'm lost. Where the hell do i find the diagnostic connector in driver area of mc 9/12? Only connector I can find is the transmission one behind the shifter, rectangular 12 pin. I want to get silver leaf and obviously need the connector size.

Thanks,
Sami

Cliff don't you have one under the dash above your right knee? I have one there in addition to the front left luggage bay.

Nope the engine and the Allison are both in there ,I am changing out the dash panels and plan on moving those to the left panel along with the shift pad and parking valve

That rectangle one is called aldl connector and probably used "also" for the Allison as its the main 12 pin diagnostic for the ddec of this era.
The newer round 6pin 1708 and the 9pin j1939 are I think not in yours
its probably discussed if they have a forum at silverleaf I dunno.
I think that system would be great, I don't think its a technician tool, yet has all kinds of information tech related as I hear.
good luck

Sami now that I re-read that, sounds like your looking for a junction to tap a silver leaf system into.
Have to run this around the others that have had systems in that particular year as yours, because computer abilities then are a bit less than all the engine and drive train measures nowadays.

interested here and good luck

Must have been a change somewhere between your year and mine. Mine has the round connector under the dash and in the junction box but no separate connector for the Alison. I assume the transmission diag is done on the same connection? Unless there is a connection in the Alison junction box inside the second luggage bay? I never did look in there.

Sami you are DDEC iii so you might actually have a round connector. I have a rectangular one it's called the DDL connector. It's 12 pin. Here are photos and diagrams:

So curiosity got the best of me and I had to go look...there is in fact a 12pin diag connector in the Alison box. I'm sure glad I had the port under the dash because I was able to plug in a scanguage 2 display for the dash.

My port is under the drivers seat below the shifter pad.  Tell Silverleaf what type of connector you have and they will send you the correct one.

Jack what are doing with Port under the drivers seat. I would suggest a nice Zinfandel!.....79 perhaps!

I'm going to dig around some up front for any options on these connectors.
This 92 mc9 could use some options with connections, so thumbing around the net I seen this place and its probably been seen by others and or used. These are many times used for the tools but some can be implemented for other uses.

I cannot ever get all the acronyms remembered especially with in the same connectors but do remember that these are "them there connectors" so heres a pickme up training session after popcorn break, ( this is legit training )get some more popcorn ;D  "caution this may not include all the other mfg's names ".
As soon as they all agreed to use standard connectors for trucks, or cars they all implemented bcm body control modules so we still had to get each separate diagnostic card and if lucky after several years calling to do a reset, after old school pin and wire testing, always a cat n mouse thing.

Derrick. He has the round one under the dash. Apparently he just doesn't know it yet ;D

Cliff, it's there. We plugged in there to watch the tranny, when we were troubleshooting it before we replaced it. That port works and everything.
